Keloka Residential Area, Parbatipur

A beautiful landscape in the residential area

I am participating this contest, Concurso, III edición: Un lugar que debes conocer. Thank you @vivigibelis for organizing this beautiful contest. To enter the contest, I will write about one of my favorite places where I spent my childhood. The location is known as Keloka Residential Area, and it is situated in Bangladesh's Parbatipur Upazilla of Dinajpur District. Only the family of government employees of Bangladesh Railway can live in this colony.

My father worked for the government, so we were able to live here and grow up. I loved this place since I was a child because of the beautiful environment here. At the time, a large number of residents lived here, and I had many friends. However, because the apartment rents were high, many people left the colony and moved elsewhere. In addition, many government employees retired and left the colony. As a result of these factors, many residents have left this amazing neighborhood.

We are also living outside due to the high rents. But I will never forget the stunning surroundings of this location. That is why I return to this location frequently. The building where we used to live has a new appearance because it was recently painted. When I visited this location a few days ago, I felt nostalgic, so I took some photos here. This residential area has many facilities that make it wonderful. First and foremost, the environment is incredible. I was impressed by the green environment of this place. There are a lot of big trees that make this place cool.

Modern facilities, such as electricity, schools, and mosques, are all located in this area. The locomotive workshop is very close to this area, so employees who live here can easily access it by walking for a few minutes. There are two large fields where kids and boys can play their favorite sports. There are two large ponds where your children can learn to swim. Cultural programs are occasionally held in this residential area for the enjoyment of the colony's residents. There are various fruit plants, and when the fresh fruits ripen, they are sold among the residents. There are some lands where residents can grow crops for a small annual government fee. All in all it's a lovely residential area with a lot of benefits.

This residential area is open for all the time. However, you must provide your identity and explain why you are entering here to the security guard. Only after receiving authorization from security can you enter this area. Alternatively, you can come here with a well-known government employee.
