NIGHT PHOTOGRAPHY | CAPTURING THE NIGHT | WEEK 24
Night photography isn't always my speciality, but I came to love it lately. The pictures below are a testament to this. Last year, my night activities were so prominent that I was known for walking at night..... The first picture which may intrigue you is when we were having a family bonfire. I was the one who brought up the idea of setting a bonfire at night so we can share wonderful moments together.
I was the one who set up the bonfire because Steemit taught me. Behind the bonfire was a locked-in firewood kitchen my mom set up so we could make use of the charcoal pot and fry meat and chips for the night bonfire. We made use of stone chairs and encircled the fire while I was behind, checking the chips and meat on fire. Let me make your imagination expensive.

As you're reading this, just imagine you're in my eyes. Imagine a night where logs of wood would be gathered, and then a fire is made for roasting meat and fish, and beside you is a music box, echoing emotional songs, and you also have a duvet with you to shield your body from mosquitoes and other flying insects. You turn to your right and see friends; to your left, loved ones. Everyone is smiling and jubilating. Have you ever dreamt of having such a time forever?
A time where everyone would be happy and glow unceasingly like the fire you're seeing? The fire's glow can only be put off if water or sand is poured on it. Do you think there'll be a time when your happiness will be glowing unceasingly with nothing to quench or put it off?
This is a picture of me in my prime. I'm basing on a stone chair, trying to keep the fire from quenching. The third picture shows my friend who's sitting on a chair outside an event centre at night. My figurative mindset was to give him a photo session, more like a photo studio where the wall is his background and the chair is his prime.
The picture came out better than expected. The creativity in this picture is just exclusive, and you know what? He crossed his legs to make it official that he's modelling and in a figurative studio or maybe in an open space but spotlighted as the celebrity here.
How did I get this picture without influencing his eyes? You know most night pictures tend to make people have coloured eyes when there's a reflection. I made use of the bright light that reflected behind me and turned off my flashlight. I then used night sight icon in my camera to enhance the picture. Let me show you the difference between using night sight with background light and using a normal camera shutter with a flashlight. The difference is in the two pictures below.

The last picture is a photo session of a couple who hired me to cover their pre-wedding photos for them with my mobile phone. The pre-wedding photo was expected to be done at sundown when the sun was still shining its brilliance. They arrived late when the sun was already down.
So we had to improvise from natural light to artificial light, and it was dark. Little did I know this picture would turn out so well. Just take a look at the quality. The night sky acted as their background. It was from this picture I knew night pictures with artificial light can be so demure.
I'll invite @whizzbro4eva, @ahsansharif and @adeljose to check out this night photography.

It's really awesome to work with fire at night and play with illuminated shadows, you know. That's a great art for a photography contest friend. Have excellent good luck 👍🏻

Thanks for your comment. I'm moved to do more. I don't even know how that idea came to me sef but lolz, we enjoyed that moment and wish to have more
