This afternoon, the atmosphere around Simpang Rangkaya felt very lively. The cool evening air, mixed with the distinctive aroma of a traditional market, was the opening to my wife and I's little journey. The two of us walked through the bustling market alleys, accompanied by the buzz of vendors offering their wares. Today wasn't just a casual stroll, but a crucial moment of preparation for our beloved daughter's birthday, who will turn two on August 13th.

Our first step was to the vegetable stall, which was always bustling with customers. The fresh green of the mustard greens and the bright red of the tomatoes immediately caught our attention. We selected several bunches of fresh mustard greens, ripe, juicy tomatoes, and onions and garlic, whose aromas indicated the best quality. We would serve all of these ingredients on this happy day.

Not far away, the savory aroma of a fresh yellow noodle stall drew us to a stop. The vendor greeted us warmly as he packed the noodles to order. It was as if we were already imagining the special fried noodles that would be served on our birthday table. Afterward, we headed to the seafood section, where fresh shrimp were neatly arranged on ice. The shrimp looked so fresh, still glistening, as if they had just been pulled from the ocean.

In addition to the basic ingredients, we also purchased a few additional supplies to liven up the birthday atmosphere. Although simple, we wanted every detail to be filled with love, from the menu to the knick-knacks that would beautify the room. We carefully packed our purchases, occasionally making small talk about the event plans and our daughter's sure-to-be-glowing face.

We enjoyed every moment of wandering around the market, chuckling as we haggled over prices and occasionally stopping to look at something unique. As evening approached, we decided to return home with hearts filled with gratitude.

On the way home, I imagined our little girl's sweet smile as the candles were blown out and the birthday song was sung. All the supplies and equipment we purchased today were just a small part of the preparations, but they were so meaningful. She became a symbol of our love, which always wants to bring joy to every step of her growth.
