Morning full of blessings on Eid al-Adha

This morning was a very special and blessed moment for me and all the congregation in my village, Gampong Blang. With great enthusiasm and happiness, we gathered at the Babusaalam Jamik Mosque to perform the Eid al-Adha prayer in congregation. The cool morning atmosphere accompanied by the echo of takbir echoing from the mosque's loudspeakers, added to the solemnity and warmth of the Eid al-Adha atmosphere in my beloved hometown.

Upon arrival at the mosque, we greeted each other with cheerful faces. Children, parents and teenagers were present wearing their best clothes. Only a few came with their families, making the mosque not only a place of worship, but also a space for friendship and togetherness between residents.

Eid al-Adha prayers took place solemnly and orderly. The congregation had just filled the entire area of the mosque to the outer courtyard. After the prayer, the preacher went up to the pulpit and delivered a sermon that was rich in meaning and full of moral messages. He raised the theme of the importance of sincerity in making sacrifices, the spirit of sharing with others, and reminded of the values of the development of the prophets Ibrahim and Ismail as role models for Muslims throughout the ages. The sermon was delivered in simple but touching language, making the congregation silent and reflect on every message conveyed.

After the sermon and before leaving for home, the entire congregation greeted each other. We shook hands, forgave each other and said minal aidzin wal Faizin, sorry physically and mentally. The emotional and warm atmosphere was very strong, strengthening the ties between local residents.

Today is not only about worship rituals, but also about togetherness, brotherhood and caring for others. On this Eid al-Adha moment, I feel very grateful to be able to celebrate it with my family and the village community in a peaceful and meaningful atmosphere.

May the spirit of Eid al-Adha continue to live in all of our hearts, and make us more grateful, caring and sincere people in doing good every day.
