Starting a small business in a shop with his wife
Small shop where my small family business is located
Life's journey isn't always easy, but every step we take with good intentions and hard work always brings blessings. Today, I am grateful to be able to start a small business with my beloved wife for the future of our little family. Although this endeavor is still modest, we are determined to make it a source of halal and blessed sustenance.
We started this business from scratch with minimal capital and a lot of enthusiasm. Our small stall offers a variety of simple dishes, including warm fried foods, homemade stir-fried noodles, and a favorite Acehnese spiced bandrek drink. The fragrant aroma of freshly prepared fried foods, combined with the aroma of steaming bandrek in the early evening, creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere for anyone who stops by.
Every afternoon we work together with complete sincerity. My wife is in charge of preparing the ingredients, from peeling the bananas and cutting the tempeh to preparing the dough. Meanwhile, I help fry, serve customers, and tidy up the stall. Despite the heat and fatigue, there's a special joy in seeing customers smile after enjoying the fruits of our labor.
This small shop isn't just a place to sell, but also a symbol of the struggle and love within our family. It's where we learn the meaning of hard work, togetherness, and patience in facing every challenge. The results aren't yet significant, but we're confident that with dedication and prayer, this small business will continue to grow.
We named this food "Mama Naura's Steam Food," as a prayer and hope that one day our little daughter will see that her parents started everything from scratch with love and passion. Every fried food we sell is not just food, but also a reflection of our struggle and gratitude for the blessings we have received.
In our simplicity, we have learned that happiness is not measured by the size of our business, but by the amount of love and hard work we put into it.
