''Dear Steamian friends!
Assalamu Alaikum, I hope you are all well by the grace of Allah? Alhamdulillah I am also fine. Welcome to my new post. Eid means joy and that joy is doubled when I get to spend time with my in-laws for the first time. This Eid holiday is no exception. The first day of Eid was very happy at the in-laws' house. And on the second day of Eid, the pleasure of roaming around Saidpur Railway Station like the first father with elder brother and uncle father-in-law was different, and today I will share some details with you at Saidpur Railway Station. I hope the information I shared will be very useful. So let's get started ___

It was a great experience to visit my in-laws for the first time during the Eid holidays. After spending the first day of Eid with my in-laws and family in joy and gossip, the second day of Eid was waiting for me to have another special attraction. I had a plan to visit Saidpur Railway Station with my elder brother and an uncle and father-in-law. This Eid, when I come to visit my father-in-law's house, I feel like visiting the area. Saidpur Railway Station was a different place for me. During Eid, the mind was eager to see the noise of the station and the festive mood.

On the second day of Eid, after waking up in the morning, after breakfast, talking to my father-in-law's house and relatives and eating and drinking, I could not understand that it was noon. After lunch, the three of us – me, my elder brother and uncle and father-in-law – left for the station in the afternoon. On the way, I remembered so many old days with my brother. Uncle and father-in-law were also telling funny stories, so I did not know when the road ended. When I reached the station, I saw the familiar crowd and busyness. Then we went inside the station

The three of us headed towards the platform. The announcement of the arrival of the train was coming and the passengers were waiting for their destination. My brother and father-in-law were also looking around curiously.

We stood on the platform and waited for a while to watch the train. Goods trains, passenger trains – there are so many trains that come and go here! My brother was discussing the different parts of the engine and compartment of the train, which made me know a lot too. Chacha father-in-law shared with us some fun experiences of his old days of rail travel.

My uncle and father-in-law were also talking to some of the old staff at the station. They could hear so many unknown stories and history of the station. I came to know how many people's lives and livelihoods are involved in this station. Saidpur Railway Station is not just a railway station, it is a living history and heritage holder. This station in Nilphamari district of North Bengal is still standing as a witness to time. Its long and rich history has given it a special place of heritage.

The city of Saidpur was originally centered on this railway station. The station was established in 1870 as an important part of the Assam-Bengal Railway during the British colonial rule. In the same year, the Saidpur Railway Workshop, which was the largest and most important railway factory in the region, was established here. The workshop was built for the repair of metre-gauge steam engines and gradually became a full-fledged factory for repairing both broad gauge and metre-gauge coaches and wagons.

Saidpur railway station was not just a passenger or goods transport centre, but also the mainstay of the economic and social development of the region. During the British period, a township was developed around this station, which was later transformed into today's Saidpur town. Such was the importance of this station that Saidpur was once the third largest city of undivided Bengal after Dhaka and Chittagong and an important commercial center. The station and workshop were used as an important base for the Allies during World War II. The factory here repaired and supplied railway equipment, which was instrumental in the war effort.

At present, Saidpur railway station is considered as one of the busiest railway stations in North Bengal. Every day many trains travel from here to different parts of the country. Although the station has been modernized, its historical structure and heritage still exist today. Saidpur Railway Station is not just a station, it is the birthplace of a city, the economic backbone of a region and the place of many people. Its history and tradition are still deeply rooted in the lives of the people here. This station is still playing an important role in the railway communication system of modern Bangladesh, retaining its old tradition.

My elder brother loves photography as much as I do, so he suggested taking pictures of the different angles at the station. I also took several pictures of the station on the advice of my elder brother. We also took a few pictures of ourselves at the station.

I was hungry to walk around the station and there were some food stalls around the station, where various types of sweets and yummy foods were being sold on the occasion of Eid. My elder brother and father-in-law stood there and had tea and some light snacks. I grabbed a chip from a shop there and started eating chips, and while eating chips, I was thinking about the station.

When a lot of time had passed at the Saidpur Railway Station, it was almost evening, none of us could know. When it was time to return, we were not tired at all, but we left for home with a good feeling. This trip to Saidpur Railway Station with my elder brother and uncle and father-in-law will be a special memory of my Eid holidays. Not only seeing the station, but also spending time with them and learning about the history and heritage of this Saidpur railway station from them, many new things have made this experience more valuable. With the joy of Eid, this memory will remain in my mind for a long time.
