I hope all is okay with you. My grandmother and I had a very difficult and hectic day in the hospital today. We arrived at Hayatabad Medical Complex early in the morning but the doctor there didn't really pay any attention to her. We were quite concerned because my grandmother had a broken hip and was in a lot of pain. Given the circumstances we decided it would be best to move her to a different location. Around 9:00 in the morning we packed everything we would need packed food and water for the trip and carefully assisted Grandma into the ambulance.

We then traveled to Peshawar's MMC Hospital in the hopes that our grandmother would receive better care. Our sole concern was her health even though the trip was a little exhausting and lengthy. The hospital staff was there and appeared to be quite responsible as soon as we arrived.

Quickly a man in a red uniform arrived and assisted us in wheeling our grandmother inside. We felt more at ease because the hospital was tidy and clean. Fortunately two further tests were performed even though her prior reports were negative.

The fact that there were no beds available at the time was one issue we encountered. However the staff was incredibly helpful and courteous. They informed us that we may have that bed if one patient was released shortly.

For nearly three hours we waited. Meanwhile my mamu brought chaat lassi and biryani for us which provided us a little energy. At 4 PM we were finally given the bed. That was the only problem we had so we were thrilled. After that we took the elevator to the third floor and got our grandmother's bed.

We went into the room and gently assisted our grandmother in getting into bed. We made her comfortable because she was exhausted. A nurse eventually arrived and handed us Granny's operating gown. In order to keep her quiet I talked to her while gradually changing her clothes.

We continued to pray even though she was a little afraid. They brought her to the operating room at about six o'clock. With anxiety and hope in our hearts we all sat outside and prayed that everything would work out for her.

We waited outside the operating room from 6 until 10 p.m. Even though those hours seemed endless we never stopped remembering Allah. Alhamdulillah the physicians finally emerged around 10 PM to inform us that the operation had gone well.

We were ecstatic and grateful. After a while Granny was brought back into the room. She appeared somewhat worn out but better. My foot was swelled to much due to much triedness.

But Allhamdullillahhhh we are happy that her operation gonna well. She claimed to be in less discomfort now. We remained at her side assisting with her rest and offering prayers for a speedy recovery.

Reading your diary, it seems that you enjoyed a day today amidst a very busy schedule. And one thing I really liked is that you love to stand by the sick and do not hesitate to take care of them. This is a very good thing that we all should do. After standing by the sick and taking care of them, I felt very happy that you enjoyed some wonderful moments amidst a lot of busy schedules and spent your day. Thank you very much for sharing some beautiful moments with us. May you be very well and stay healthy. Best wishes to you my dear friend.
