The diarygame 9/8/2025: Emergency travel to my village
AKTC premises Uyo Akwaibom state
I like traveling but lately the insecurities on the road changes my mind from going anywhere, I have planned this year that I will be traveling with my children during Christmas time .
Something happened, early morning Saturday 9/8/2025 I got call from my mother with my sleepy eyes I picked it immediately the sleep left me and I heard what my mother said clearly that was around 3 am. My father is critically ill and my attention is needed. I didn't wait for day to break I took my bath to catch up with the morning bus.
I got to the park around 6:50 first bus already left I booked my ticket from Uyo to Aba which will take about 3-4 hours drive roughly. In not less than 50seconds the bus was full and we left to Aba.
When we began our journey to Aba, I was curious about knowing my father's condition, no body wants to tell me until I reach the village. I was praying in my mind, before I could take a little sleep in the bus we were already in ABA.
I trekked down to where I will join another bus to Owerri when I ran into my old time friend who lives in ABA, she was my close friend then when I was in school I only see her on Facebook. She was surprised to see me likewise I.
We exchanged pleasantries and she encouraged me to be happy while she took me to Crunchies to eat before proceeding to Owerri. She cheered me up and I stayed with her for some time before I proceeded to take another bus to my state.
This is Abia state polytechnic ABA,Now Ogbannaya onu polytechnic Aba
This is where @ngoenyi is currently working. My bus passed here and I refreshed my memories during my time there as a student of the school.
When I got home truly my father was seriously sick and needed urgent attention,
We took him to one man in our community who is good at herbal medicine while we wait till Monday for other medical check-up and scan.
At the herbal medicine man place his health became stabled and my mind was at rest.
my sister preparing fufu for me
I came back in the evening to the house and my food was ready , I ate and relaxed for the stressful day I had.
Untill my next diary this was how my Saturday was and I'm wishing my father a quick recovery.
@okere-blessing dear, I can understand the anxiety you felt when you received that call. You acted as a loving daughter you are and zoomed home. Your action and your love including taking him to the herbal medicine man will truly help to stabilise him. I pray he gets better soon. May the Almighty give the man the wisdom to treat him and may he respond favourably. We are not sure of our health these days. My kind regards to him and to everyone over there.
Meanwhile, don't finish that fufu that your sister prepared oooo, it is important to the lord, smiles 😊!
You saw my work place? Wow, amazing 😍! You even took picture of it. That means the vehicle somehow slowed down there? Hmmm, that is where I work ooo. It's a beautiful place to be. Everything has changed in there compared to when you schooled there.
I wish you are happy stay and a safe return.
Regards from me

For that fufu. Hahaha
The school looks different. I was fast to capture it because I seated close to the door.
He is responding to treatment. God will not shame me now because I have nothing and I need him to stay.
And he will stay for sure. Not because you have nothing but because he deserves to stay.

To tell you the truth, while reading every moment of the journey, it felt as if I too was looking out of the window of that bus. And that sudden meeting with a friend… and on top of that, the treat of Crunchies, it was just fun. My heartfelt prayers for your father, may God make him well soon. Your style of writing is really such that it cannot be left till the end.
