Maritime Museum Cafe, Chittagong

A while ago, I shared my experience visiting the indoor section of the Chattogram Maritime Museum with you. Now, I will share the outdoor area, which features the Maritime Cafe. This cafe shop, mostly an open space, is somewhat different from others.

It is located on Naval Avenue Road, adjacent to the MA Aziz Stadium, Chattogram. They are open for customers every day from 10 am to 11 pm. You can also book in advance to confirm your seat.

The cafe has a slightly different look. It is completely open all around and the overhead covering looks like a tent. From a distance, it appears much like a tent. The seating space inside is ample for customers.

The interior beauty of the cafe lies in its very simple lighting and open environment. It looks more beautiful from the outside than the inside. There is an open field outside where you can sit and enjoy the outdoor atmosphere if you wish.

The structure of the cafe

Since it's a cafe, their seating is arranged in a way that gives you to comfortably hang out with friends or colleagues. I visited in the evening, which was the perfect time to enjoy the cafe's ambiance. There are no luxurious chairs and tables, but being open all around, you can enjoy the outside breeze while sitting inside.

Just because it's a cafe shop doesn't mean they only serve few items. They have several set menus and packages for lunch and dinner. However, their food prices are a bit high.

I also noticed quite a few French items on their menu. Catering to a higher-class client, they offer many types of foreign dishes.

I visited the cafe in the evening, so I thought of trying something different. I apologize that I couldn't take a picture of the menu. I tried their special pasta and lemon drink.

The presentation of the pasta was very appealing. Just looking at the food made me feel full. It looked like it would be a bit spicy, and it was. I tried a little bit at first. The taste was simply amazing and being spicy made it even more enjoyable. I tried the lettuce leaf last. And the lemon drink was just as it should be.

By visiting this cafe, you can not only enjoy food but also spend time in various other ways. There were a few swings outside where you could enjoy swinging.

There is also a large, clean field with green grass, where many customers were sitting on the ground enjoying the outdoor scenery. It's a perfect place to visit and spend time as a group.

Since the cafe is located in the outdoor area of the Maritime Museum, customers can enjoy several naval exhibits. When you sit inside, you can see everything in every corner of the entire area because it's open on the sides. It's the kind of place where a first-time visitor will likely be satisfied.

There was a gift shop inside the cafe, which I wasn't able to take a picture of. If you want to hang out with your friends or colleagues in the afternoon in an open space while having coffee or food, then the Maritime Cafe and Gift Shop could be one of the best places for you.
