"SLC-S25/W3 | Community World Tour: Landscapes & Sacred Sites"
Assalamu Alaikum,
Hello everyone,
I am @selina1
From #Bangladesh
I am starting by wishing all my Steemit friends good health. Alhamdulillah, by the grace of Allah, I am very well. Like every week, this week I have come to participate in a great engagement challenge. Today's engagement challenge theme is "SLC-S25/W3 | Community World Tour: Landscapes & Sacred Sites". So let's get started.
Narrative and Cultural Meaning:
Bangladesh is called a country of rivers. There are numerous rivers, both small and large, in this country and the beauty of these rivers is diverse. One of the rivers in Bangladesh is the name of the Shitalaksha River. This river connects Narsingdi, Gazipur and Narayanganj districts. This river is very beautiful to look at and there are many homes on the banks of this river. Since the water of this river is very pure and delicious, this river is named Shitalaksha River. Also, many people say that the water of this river is cool and Lakshmi, that is why this river is named Shitalaksha.
At one time, the pure water of this river was famous all over the world. "Pure Shitalakshya Water" was carried on ships. I have heard from many that medicine was once made in England with this water. There are various types of ferry piers on the banks of this river.
Named:
On the orders of the great sage Jamadagni, his son Parashurama killed his mother with an axe. Due to the sin of killing his mother, the axe got stuck in his hand. He could not separate the axe from his hand in any way. So he jumped into the Brahmaputra river and the axe separated from there. Then Parashurama the great saint turned the axe into a plow with the intention of delivering the water of that lake to the mortals. Then, as the plow passed through the mountains, a river path was created. Wherever the plow stopped, the beautiful Shitalakshya was passing by. Thus, the Shitalakshya river was named.
Story of Murapara Ferry Ghat of Shitalakshya River:
The Murapara Ferry Ghat of Shitalakshya River is very beautiful to look at and many people from both banks cross through it every day through the ordinary ferry. There are various local markets on this bank. It is heard from many people that many locals have seen a huge banyan tree underwater while bathing at this ghat. But not everyone has seen it.
Almost every year, someone drowns in this ghat. That is why many people think that people eat from that banyan tree. Everyone has heard this story since the past. So many people think that it is true and many people think that it is a superstition. But still, almost everyone earns their livelihood on the banks of this peaceful river.
My photo on the banks of Shitalakshya River:
A relative of mine's house is located next to this river. The appearance of the Shitalakshya River is a little different and terrifying during the rainy season than in the winter. Also, during the rainy season, the water of this river fills the river banks to the brim. I often go there to enjoy the unique beauty of this river. Small and large engine-powered boats and launches flow through this river. Although nothing was built on the banks of this river in the past, various industrial institutions and factories are being built on the banks of this river.
The view of the gentleness of this calm and gentle river will attract everyone's attention.
Laugh less, type more words
The more I talk about the beauty of the river, the less I talk about it. It is very nice to walk on the banks of the river in the afternoon and listen to the murmuring of the river god. The murmuring of the river will remove your silence. Also, it is a great pleasure to ride a boat on this calm river with your loved one and walk along the banks of the river. The most extraordinary beauty of the scene of the sun setting on the banks of the river in the west cannot be described. However, this river is a means of earning a living for many people.

Speak on Video :
When I was crossing the river, I was in an engine-powered boat. People from both sides of the river cross through this engine-powered boat. I was crossing here with my husband and a relative and here I made this video. Through this video I have captured the beauty of this river. Fortunately, when I was in the middle of the river, I enjoyed the beautiful beauty of the sunset.

Thank you so much for you reviewing my post.
Wow this is a very large body of water that looks so calm and cold. You must be so brave to cross this big body of water with an engine powered boat.
I would be so scared through out the journey. How were you feeling all through this journey with your husband. Were you scared?
Suerte!
I find this story superstitious and people can die every year, it's just an accident. Thank you very much.
I love the structure of the boat used here. It's much more large and has enough balance space. Thanks for sharing the narrative of this ocean and its emotional connection. Your video seems to give me good goosebumps
Dear friend, I am glad to read your comment. What I like most is walking along the riverbank and listening to the sound of the river's waves.
