Hello Everyone.
This is @shabiha-jahan, from #Bangladesh đ§đŠ
Assalamu Alaikum everyone, I hope everyone is well by the grace of Allah. Welcome to steem-atlas. Steem-Atlas Ambassador @mohammadfaisal has organized this Pin & Win: Map Your World on Steem Atlas - Week 13 and Winners of Week 12, so today I have taken the entry.
Narayanganj Government Mohila College
"Narayanganj Government Mohila College" is an old and traditional educational institution in Narayanganj district of Bangladesh. Narayanganj Government Mohila College was established by civil society in 1962 with the aim of improving women's education. In 1963, due to infrastructure problems, the campus was shifted to the Municipality Public Library.
Later, In 1965, its own academic building was built on the donated land of Government Tolaram College, this college was established on 1.52 acres of land. The college building was extensively destroyed in 1971 during the Liberation War. Former President Hussain Muhammad Ershad declared this college as a government college on 1 November 1984.
College waiting area for parents
This college has a total of two gates, the first gate is on the main road and the other gate is after entering a little further through the first gate. The reason for building two gates is so that the guardians of the students can wait for their children in the space between the first and second gates. And since this college is made only for women, no outside boys are allowed to enter here, although if a boy accidentally stands in front of the college gate, the college gatekeeper removes them. Only male teachers of the college and the fathers or brothers of the girls are allowed to enter, but only to wait for a while
College Buildings
Currently, there are a total of 4 buildings inside the college, which are quite large in size and have 4-5 floors. Each building is identified with a different name, such as: Rokeya Bhaban, Vigyan Bhaban, Pritilata Bhaban and Jahanara Imam Bhaban. Classes of a different class are conducted in each building, Rokeya Bhaban and Pritilata Bhaban only classes of 11th class students are conducted. Again, 12th class and honors classes are conducted in Vigyan Bhaban and Jahanara Imam Bhaban. Each building has been categorized in this way.
New Building
In addition to the 4 buildings, another new building is being built, where there was a pond before, but now it is being filled in and this new building is being built. Maybe the number of girls in the college is increasing day by day, so that there is no shortage of classes, so this new building is being built.
Class Rooms
Balconies
College View
The classrooms are as big as the college buildings are. Since the number of girls in each group is about 1200-1500, all the classes have been made quite large so that many girls can take classes at once. Usually, girls are taught classes from 9 am to 3 pm, but only on Thursdays, classes are taught from 9 am to 2 pm. Due to the large size of the classrooms, the teachers' words do not reach the end of the class, so a microphone system has been installed in each class through which the girls can easily hear the teachers when they speak or explain. In addition, 8-10 fans are installed in each classroom so that the students or teachers do not have any problems in the heat. The balconies outside the classrooms are also quite large, and the entire college can be seen from the balconies.
College Authorities Rooms
On the ground floor of the Rokeya building, there is a teachers' rest room, office room, accounting department, computer room, and principal's room. If the students ever have any problems, they can contact the office room or computer room. If there is a problem with any papers or exams, they can contact the accounting department and it will be resolved. In addition, a science lab has been created for the students of the science department in the science building, where they are given practical classes.
College Campus
College Stage
The college has a large campus where the students can sit together and chat and eat food during tiffin. Also, when they do not have classes, they can sit here to rest and prepare for their next class. Again, any sports event of the college is organized in this campus and those who participate in various sports competitions on behalf of the college also practice their sports in this campus. A separate coach has been kept for sports practice and a coach has also been kept for those who want to join as cadets. There is a beautiful stage near the campus which is named Ruposhi Bangla Stage, any cultural program of the college is organized here.
College Canteen
Seating Area
So that the college students do not have to go out to buy any food, a small canteen has been made inside the college, where various types of food and drinks have been brought so that the students can buy and eat what they need during tiffin from here. A very nice sitting area has also been made along with the canteen where the students can relax and chat with friends and eat their food.
College Buses
There are many students in this college who come from far away to study, so the college has two buses to safely take the students to their homes. Their homes are in Dhaka, Kachpur or Chittagong Road and they are taken by these buses. However, for this, the students have to make a bus card, they have to buy this card for 300 taka for 6 months, then they do not have to pay any extra money for 6 months. After 6 months, they have to buy another new card, this process continues like this.
College Library
There is also a library on the ground floor of Jahanara Imam Bhavan in the college where there are various types of books from home and abroad that help the students increase their general knowledge. During the free time of classes, the students come here and read various types of story books or educational books.
Flower Garden
To enhance the beauty of the college, various types of trees have been planted here, which look quite beautiful. And the most beautiful place inside the college is its flower garden, there are many varieties of flowers planted here along with many types of trees, among the fruit trees are mango and guava trees. On rainy days, the flower trees in the garden regain their original beauty, which looks quite beautiful and attractive. This garden has made the college even more beautiful and very attractive.
Statues
There are statues of two famous people in the college, one is our world poet Rabindranath Tagore and the other is the pioneer of women's awakening, Begum Rokeya Sakhawat Hossain. These statues have been made to honor them.
It's Me Shabiha
Finally, I will say, Narayanganj Government Mohila College is an ideal college for educating women in Narayanganj district.âēī¸
