Today, I want to talk about Al Shams Sweets, a recently opened sweet shop in Saidpur. It’s part of Al Shams Restaurant and is located right next to it. Previously, the sweet shop was inside the restaurant, but now they’ve set it up as a separate store.

I think this new addition will help them expand their business and earn more profit. In my opinion, having a separate sweet shop gives them more space and flexibility to add a wider variety of sweets and desserts to their menu, something that might not have been possible when it was inside the restaurant.

Before this visit, I had been to this sweet shop once before to try their sweets. Back then, they didn’t have as many varieties as they do now. From what I observed, the quality of the sweets at that time didn’t seem up to the mark, so I decided not to eat any that day.

But during this visit, when I saw the wide variety of sweets and desserts, I felt like trying some. I asked my mom to join me, but she wasn’t in the mood for sweets at that moment. So, I went ahead and tried two different kinds myself, though I forgot their names. Both were delicious.

I noticed four different types of Sandesh in this sweet shop. I don’t remember seeing that many varieties of Sandesh anywhere else in our town. These desserts were priced between 500–520 BDT, which felt a bit expensive. Mawa sandesh was looking stylish and delicious. The Sandesh had vibrant colors that made them look even more appealing.

Rajvog, Hafsi Sandesh, Kheer Topshi, and Tangail were all new to me, but they looked fresh and delicious. I think this sweet shop has a good chance to attract customers since it’s located in a busy area of Saidpur where there’s no other dessert shop nearby. There’s a famous restaurant close to Al Shams Sweets, but no sweet shop in the area.

Al Shams Sweet Shop had a nice collection of yoghurts. The prices weren’t mentioned on display, but I think they’d be reasonable. The baby sweets, kalojam, and a few others were the usual items you can find in almost every sweet shop.

Conclusion

The shop has plenty of space, just what a sweet shop needs. They also have lots of packets available for customers who want to take sweets or desserts home, and the packet quality seemed good to me. The desserts and sweets were nicely displayed and kept in covered shelves to protect them from dust and flies. Overall, my recent visit to this sweet shop was pleasant, and I felt a positive vibe in the environment.
