Hasu Confectionery
Today I want to share about one of the most popular and oldest confectionaries in our town – Hasu Confectionary. I’ve known this shop since my childhood, and honestly, so many of my memories are connected to it.

Hasu Confectionary is located on Kholahati Road, right on the way to the local vegetable, fish, and meat market. Because of its spot, the shop always gets plenty of customers passing by.

A Little Bakery that Holds My Childhood Memories
I can’t even count how many times I’ve fallen in love with their vegetable burger. For many of us who grew up here, it’s a nostalgic snack that still holds a special place in our hearts. Even today, people talk about how tasty it is. And the price? Just 10 BDT (about $0.082 USD), such a steal!

The Shop Setup
The shop may look small, but it’s very neatly organized. Somehow, they’ve managed to fit so many products in such a limited space. They have two refrigerators for beverages. And two deep freezers for ice cream, cakes, and dairy products. Around the shop, shelves are filled with food, home care, and personal care items.

The Friendly Shop Owner
The owner is an elderly man, and I’ve seen him since I was a kid. He’s always cheerful, friendly, and treats his customers with kindness. Just a few days ago, I chatted with him about installing CCTV, and he seemed really interested. I think many people love the shopkeeper, and even my father had a good relationship with him. He’s not just a seller to us, but almost like a familiar face from our own family memories.

Tough times for the shop
Sadly, last August, the shop was damaged by some miscreants after the fall of the government, something I never imagined would happen. It must have been a tough challenge for the shopkeeper to rebuild everything and start again, but he did it by the Grace of Allah. Nice to see this shop again.
