Siraj Chuijhal Restaurant, located in Mirpur-1, Dhaka, has long been a popular name among Chuijhal lovers. It is easy to find as it is very close to the main road. It is not part of any international or national chain, but rather an independently run local restaurant. It has been winning the hearts of food lovers for more than ten years. It is like a special haven for Chuijhal lovers, especially in the busy public life of Mirpur-1.

Ambience and Atmosphere

Upon entering the restaurant, the first thing you notice is a kind of homely yet busy atmosphere. The seats inside are arranged with wooden tables and chairs, pictures of rural food and old-time posters hang on the walls. The lighting is not too bright, but moderate, which creates a comfortable atmosphere for eating. Music is not played much, so the place is also good for conversation. t you may have to wait a little as it gets crowded in the evening. There is no separate seating area outside, everything is limited to inside.

Menu and Specialities

The main attraction here is the Chuijhal meat. The unique taste and aroma of Chuijhal is infused into the meat in a way that is not easily found in any other restaurant.

Food Quality and Presentation

The food is served in simple steel plates and glasses, but there is no shortage of taste. The meat broth is thick, the amount of salt and spices is perfectly balanced. The bharta and bhajis taste absolutely homely. The serving size of the food is also generous; rice and meat are served in sufficient quantities.

The price is absolutely affordable. Budget-friendly for the average middle-class family or students. A combo of rice, stuffing and meat is not only cheap, but also offers great value in taste and quantity. The quality can be said to be extraordinary compared to the price.

Facilities

The restaurant has basic bathrooms, but it can be a bit difficult due to the crowd. There is no Wi-Fi, but there is a small parking space nearby. The entrance is a bit narrow for the disabled or elderly, but there is enough seating inside.

Special Features

There is no live music or theme nights here. However, seasonal dishes—especially roasted khichuri or desi duck broth in winter—are very popular. Siraj Chuijhal Restaurant has earned its reputation primarily through its food, not through any other fancy features.

Personal Experience

The restaurant is special to me because as soon as you enter here, you can taste the taste of home-cooked food. Especially the experience of eating spicy meat is extraordinary. Once in winter, I had roasted khichuri and spicy meat with friends—I have never eaten such delicious and spicy food anywhere before. Even today, when I remember that day, my mouth waters. Every time I go here, I feel a new feeling—“It’s like the real taste of the village in the middle of Dhaka.”
