I have come to you today with one of my handiwork. I work on a sewing machine. In the beginning, I used to make clothes for others. I used to spend part of my family's expenses with the income I got from that. But now I can't do these things anymore because I am sick now. Now I only make clothes for my family. I made a maxi for my mother-in-law now, which I will share with you.
The materials for making this maxi are given below,
🌝Measuring tape
🌝3.50 yards of cloth
🌝Chalk
🌝Scissors
Maxi size
Body=34"
Sleeve=16"
Sleeve=10"
Sleeve=50"
🌝Step 1
In the first step, I took a 50"+3" piece of cloth, totaling 53 inches, and folded it into four folds.
🌝Step Two
In the second step, I took 5 inches from the armpit, put 4" and all the remaining fabrics inside the neck and took the neck depth of 5".
🌝Step Three
In this step, I cut the armpit and neck with the help of scissors.
🌝Step Four
In this step, I cut the neckband two inches long, making a total of four strips.
🌝Step Five
In this step, I added another one and a half inches to the sleeve 16 inches, cut the sleeve with three inches down the armpit and took the hem 10 inches.
🌝Step Six
This time, I cut four and a half inches of elastic to put on the maxi's neck.
🌝Step Seven
In the seventh step, I sewed the neckband equal to the neck and made a hole there and filled it with elastic with the help of a pin and sewed it.
🌝Step 8
In this step, I sewed the neck of the two parties of the maxi in the same way, filled it with elastic, sewed two jute pockets, and also sewed both sides from the armpit to the bottom and closed them.
🌝Step 9
In the current step, I sewed the sleeves and sewed them together with the maxi and also sewed the bottom.
Thus, I completed making the maxi.
