No power.

in WhereINyesterday

Yesterday was one of those days that starts out normal and then suddenly changes in a matter of seconds. We were without power at 9 a.m. because a truck, which clearly didn't measure the height correctly, hit the cables and knocked down the pole.

The problem wasn't just that. At noon, just as the children were getting out of school, traffic became crazy. Everything was gridlocked, people were desperate, and the honking of cars was excruciating.

In the apartment, the heat was on another level since we couldn't use the fan. The neighbors thought we'd spend the night in the dark and that we were in for the hottest night yet to sleep, but thank God, they managed to restore power at 5 p.m.
