Ooh, what a long post you wrote today!
I must admit that a month can be extremely llllooonnnggg but also extremely ssshhhoorrrttt.
Time is always relative. 1 hour can be very long and can be very short.
If you're late for something, then time flies fast. If you're waiting for something, then time stops.
When you stay at hotels or any holiday accommodation you take the amenities in your room for granted. I remember how I collected them as a child each day, packed them in my suitcase, and took them home after our stay.
During my childhood, the rooms of Soviet hotels were completely empty. You had to have everything with you. It was even problematic to drink tea in the room. coffee? What is it? It was forbidden to drink tea in the room. I am afraid that our hotels will soon return to the same service again. Recently I spent the night in a hotel and realized that this could happen.
Thanks for the visit!
A day with 14 hours without electricity yesterday made my replying on comments difficult... gggrrr!
You will sit with hotels with amenities, tea and coffee, and us without electricity. Sad!
Ha. :) Literally last week, electricity was cut off in our village from 8 am to 5 pm. Do you know what it is to stay at home without electricity in winter? It means sitting without heating. Cold. And hungry. We have already lost the habit of living without electricity. Without it, cities will die.
We were down just before midnight Saturday night until 3 Sunday afternoon due to a fuse that blew.
Luckily it was not winter. We had a braai (South African barbecue) for lunch and we made milkshakes with the ice-cream that was defrosted.
Every day I see the impact of no electricity on businesses. It is so sad.
