What a wise teacher you had!
I really liked the fact that you used this anecdote as an introduction before getting to the point, before politely paraphrasing what it's like: it's annoying. An attractive text doesn't start like this and nobody has to be surprised if people not only don't read on, but don't even open the post. And we (the community) really don't have to be surprised that outsiders are not attracted: Nobody reads such things. And why should they when nothing is (supposed to be) said?

That's right, nothing is said, it's what we call pure empty talk...

I really like it when I meet people who write what they're going to write and don't beat around the bush or use that kind of greeting. It's really unpleasant.

Thanks for stopping by. I loved meeting you here.🤗

Always a pleasure to read you - so if I feel like reading something by someone who is able to write like „we“ got taught, I‘m stopping by… ;-)
Not always commenting but that’s okay. Still my vote tells anybody „I read your post“. Like you (and your teacher) said: It’s the pauses that make (a) writing interesting… 😉

Yes, that's true. I've read you too, and sometimes I read a lot but don't say anything. But that's okay. Pauses and silence make words more interesting, as that professor said ☺️
