The Diary game. A Spring Day in Kashmir: Orchard Visit, Office Duties, Nilnag Lake Stroll, and an Evening with Friends

Greetings, dear friends, how are you all? I hope you all are fine and enjoying your day. I wish for you all good health, wealth and a prosperous time ahead. Today I am here to share with you yet another day of my life and I hope you all will get time to read and know about one more day of my life and also find it worthwhile to read and vote.

As the spring season has arrived here in the Kashmir Valley, farming has also started being practiced by the farmers, who have actually begun a new journey of cultivation for this year. With the increase in agricultural activities, life seems to be coming back on track after a long, harsh winter here in the Kashmir Valley. The spring season brings new life, and it’s always special to witness this beautiful time of year. We are lucky enough to be born here and to witness the most pleasing part of the year.

Today, I got up early in the morning, as getting up early is not just an obligation for me anymore—it has now become a habit, especially since I needed to head towards the nearby mosque for the morning prayers. First, I purified myself by performing ablution, and once I was done, I headed back to the village very early in the morning after offering the namaz. After having a light breakfast, I was told by my uncles to accompany them for some systemic fungicide spray over the apple orchards located on the small hillocks surrounding the village.

Upon returning from the orchard, I quickly had my breakfast and then got ready for the office in no time. After a short journey to the village where I have been posted, I started my day at the office of the Rural Development Department and straightaway got into my day-to-day business. While I was on my way to the village, I was captivated and deeply moved by the beauty of the huge mountains surrounding the entire valley. They had received snowfall just a few days ago and were quite visible and conspicuous even from long distances. While I was on top of the hill, I paused and took a few photographs.

While I was doing my job, I had different tasks in hand, such as registering the beneficiaries for the JK Samadhan portal and also for the installation of solar panel rooftops. I reached near the very famous Nilnag Lake. Thankfully for me, it was lunchtime when we arrived, and one of my friends, who runs an eatery shop on the bank of the lake, offered us some food, which we couldn’t refuse. Anyway, the food was tasty.

Today, I paid a visit all around the lake, which looked quite beautiful with little to no visible traces of garbage. This is because the garbage that accumulates settles at the bottom during the winter months, and with the arrival of spring, Nilnag Lake appears fresh and clean. For someone seeing the lake for the first time, it might seem like the cleanest lake in the valley—but that’s not really the case. The waste it contained has merely settled down.

The portal I was working on throughout the day wasn’t functioning properly due to increased traffic. Since the government has made various departments responsible for registering beneficiaries—and with a deadline set for today to register the required number of users across different portals—I couldn’t register anyone. However, I still collected the credentials from those who requested registration, promising to register them later on.

Later in the day, I returned home quite exhausted and tired. Upon reaching home, I first freshened up, then had a cup of tea, and took a nap to recharge myself before diving into other tasks that needed to be completed at home. Late in the evening, I met my friends at one of our friend’s shops located in the main market of the village. It was quite fun to be there, as all my friends had gathered, and we started planning a trip for tomorrow since it’s a day off and the weather is quite favourable for such an outing.

Later in the day, I returned home and had my dinner, after which I spared some time to read about the Indian political system in order to understand how the Indian political machinery works and how such a huge and vast country is governed. It was around 11:30 PM when I went to sleep and called it a day.

It was all about my day.Thank you for going through my post. Have a great time ahead.
