This is a serious encounter,when you become a mother, having kids is a good thing and taking good care of them is what we call parental responsibility, and that is what you do as a mother, you knowing very well that when they are in holliday's, they will make you be doing home activities up and down because of their disturbance, so i like as you plan your day with them.
Have seen that rain is what disturbed activities due to it season, but you didn't allow it to discourage you from visiting a friend, that was good of with the help of your vehicle, which some people wouldn't driver under a bad weather as such.
