Let's even take fashion designing in the technical education. You need geometry to do that. People use things everyday and don't even wonder where they learnt it from. There is no skill without theory

I totally agree with you with this. How ever i still strongly believe the main skills are gained when the individual indulges in more practical than theory.

But not withstanding , i understand your facts very clearly and your points are very welled explained and backed by real life circumstances .
