The Diary Game[07/08/2025] // Work Day

Steem greetings, guys from the motherland, Cameroon. Welcome to my blog as I share my daily lifestyle content. Apparently, we are experiencing the worst rainy season ever. It's been three weeks, literally, with rain nonstop. We go to bed each day with rain and wake up with rain.

This day was not indifferent as I was welcomed from bed with rain and worst of it all, it was a work day. I had to prepare breakfast and lunch for my kids before leaving the house. Luckily for me, I heard a loud knock on the gate and to my greatest surprise, it was my husband. He has been away for about 2 weeks now. He volunteered to drop me off at work due to the rain.

The weather was cold and I felt like it was freezing so I had to dress warmly. Along the way to work, we noticed the road was almost empty unlike work days here. I was expecting a busy street but because of the rain, many had to go to work or school late.

It was indeed the worst day of my life at work as I developed a severe stomach ache and I had to return home. When I arrived home, I took some medications and felt better. Then I took a walk around my neighbourhood to buy some chicken to prepare for my husband’s family meeting this weekend.

I was directed to one vendor to buy the chickens and when I arrived there, I realised that the chickens were not healthy and the sizes were not encouraging but she kept insisting I should take the fowls because it's not a good season for keeping fowls. She explained to me that the rains will be over soon and they will start keeping good fowls to be consumed by December.

It was frustrating but I had no other choice but to pay for the fowls and return home. While at home, I heated food and we ate and had a chit chat with my husband before calling it a day. Until my next diary guys, it is goodnight from my end.
