Reflecting on the path of my self discovery and continuous growth,I always remember the power of everyday encounter shaping our lives.
Today was such a day that began like normal but opened into a tapestry of experiences I value.

In the quiet hours of the morning before the world wakes and the disturbance of our daily life starts,I usually find peace in the stillness. It is in this times that I join with the inner me to think and ponder on my visions, dreams and prepare for the day ahead.

Morning activities

I woke up by 6:00 AM feeling very strong and prepared for the day.Today was a day I couldn't wait for all week, having an important match in the University league and I was ready to put in everything.I had my breakfast by fueling up with rice and beans, knowing fully well that I needed all energy for the important football match later on in the day.

While having my breakfast,i glaced through my notes from the last class to be sure I was ready for today's lessons.I also used a few minutes to reply to some Whatsapp texts from my friends and family.

After having my breakfast,I went to my very first class of the day, which was a departmental course on statistics.I reached the lecture hall at around 8:11 AM,being so eager to learn about statistics and other aspects it can be applied to the real world.I took my seat waiting for the lecturer who was a bit late, and I used the time to continue glancing on my previous notes and being focused for the class and also having a little conversation with my course mates.

Finally, the lecturer came and we started our discussion on the importance of statistics and how to apply it in our daily life. The class was interesting and engaging with interactions, and I was taking notes on what was being talked about.

I was very interested in the real life applications of statistics which involves;business and economics, medical research and healthcare services, social sciences, environmental sciences, quality control, government and public policy, sport analytics, marketing and advertising, finance and banking, education, transportation and logistics, food safety and quality control, agriculture and natural resources, psychology and neuro science, computer science and machine learning and so much more.

As the class came to a close,I was motivated, invigorated and was so eager to use the principles we had discussed in a real life situation.I packed my things leaving the hall, being very focused on my next class by noon.

Afternoon activities

My next class was scheduled by 12:00 PM,so I had a few hours to while away.i went to get some relaxation at a quiet spot I found and was lost in thought of the the match I was to play by evening.Time past so quickly and it was time for my next class.

My second class was a coaching class on sports psychology, learning about the critical aspects of performing sports and also the importance of mental rigidity in sports, with visualization techniques being particularly interesting.

The class came to a close,I felt hungry and I went home a for a quick lunch because I couldn't play while feeling hungry as I wouldn't create much impact on the game. After the opportunity to refuel,I changed into my football kits, went out excited, prepared and focused on the big match ahead.

Evening activities

The match was fixed at 4:00 PM,and I was at the field a bit earlier feeling pumped and ready to give in my all.As I came on the field with my teammates,I felt we had something to archive with a shared purpose, and being in this together we were convinced and determined with a strong will to come out on top.

The match was very closely competitive and intense with geomatics 300 level team which I am in and Geomatics 500 level our seniors, with each team creating opportunities to score and also defending clinically.I performed with every energy I had, going up and down the midfield and making tackles to be in possession of the ball.My teammates pulled off a masterclass and together we were a strong and difficult nut to crack.

At half time the scoreline was even by 0-0 draw,we gathered to discuss a better strategy and made necessary adjustments that will bring goals we needed. The coach played his part by providing necessary formations and insights, and we went in to begin the second half more focused and even more determined.

The second half was more intense than the first half, with each of us putting in so much effort for the win.In the die minute I made a swift cross from the left wing which our striker finished it off in the back of the net and the second half ended almost immediately we scored. In the end we won the game, thanks to the die minute goal,we celebrated, hugging each other with so much joy and support from the spectators.

After the thrilling match,we shook hands with our opponents in the glory of the victory and congratulated each other on a well played game of football,a moment of the game I always value and respect.

I made my way home after the deed being done,I was so proud of what we did together back on the pitch , because it had been a while we played such a game. When I arrived home,I prepared a special dinner of jellof rice and egg with a drink to wash it down ,and feeling grateful after a long and intense day.

I ate with so much joy and satisfaction, being an exciting day with learning and victory as well. After having dinner,I watched my favourite series now playing "Reacher", settling for a relaxed evening.

In the mirror of thoughts,I reflected on the times and moments shaping me.Each day a new chapter of my life,a chapter full of victories, setbacks,a day to always remember as a fulfillment of determination and strong will.
