A Stressful Week: Trials and Challenges in my business.
Greetings, dear friends, how are you all? I hope you all are doing fine and enjoying your day. I wish for all of you good health, wealth and a prosperous time ahead. Today I am here to share with you the challenges I face in my business this week. I hope you all will get time to read and also share your thoughts.
I've grown accustomed to documenting my daily life and snapping pictures of events and happenings around me. It's a habit that helps me gather material for my articles and share my daily experiences with my wonderful Steemians. However, this week has been particularly trying, and I've found myself facing one challenge after another.
It began just two days ago when my office generator broke down of which I had shared in my previous post. The cost of repairs was substantial, and the downtime affected my business growth for the period to which the generator was repaired. Though, I was relieved when the repair was finally completed, but little did I know that another issue was lurking around the corner.
Yesterday, my printer developed a fault. The magenta drum/developer unit was staining vertical lines on paper, rendering it unusable. I called my technician, Kufre, who came and diagnosed the problem to be the magenta drum unit.
I gave him the needed amount for the new unit which he successfully replaced the faulty one. The repair cost me Twenty-Three Thousand Naira (23,000.00), approximately 109 Steem. I was hopeful that the problem was resolved, but fate had other plans.
This morning, I attempted to print a coloured job, but the same issue resurfaced. The job was a mass production of assessment sheets for Diamond Castle College, and it was urgent. The college needed the sheets to record their students' grades, which would be issued on the closing date, just next week.
I had to rush to my colleague's shop to print the job, which was a significant setback. To make matters worse, Kufre suspected that the magenta toner I just bought might be an imitation, which could be causing the problem. However, he was unavailable to investigate further, as he was attending to another job in Ikot Ekpene Local Government Area, far from Uyo.
I am left with no choice but to print only black jobs, which meant turning down coloured jobs and losing potential income.
As I write this article, I'm filled with frustration and disappointment. This week has been a perfect storm of challenges, and I'm struggling to keep my business afloat. However, I remain determined to persevere and find solutions to these problems. After all, as a writer, it's my duty to document my experiences, no matter how difficult they may be.
Thank you for going through my post. Do have a great time ahead.
