THE DIARY GAME | 04/08/2025 | LEONORA THE NEW INTERN

Today's another day to share with you, how amazing my day was! In a sort while I will tell you how I spent the day of, Monday, 4th of August 2025

Dear Diary,

MORNING

I woke up really early today, by 3am I was awake and headed to the toilet to ease myself and free up my bladder. Then I sat on my table, tried to study a little bit and refresh my memory on some biblical concepts. Then I had to post on steemit because I kept on postponing and procrastinating seeing that I'd have had to start from scratch. I thank God I could overcome that tiredness and finally posted my come back post.

I didn't sleep anymore, so I got to my bath, had a fresh bath and sat on the bed preparing for work, since today is Monday. Sincerely I don't like Mondays because of the influx of patients in the hospital where I work! I stepped out of the house at 7:30am, steamed my bike and to work I went.

I arrived at work and I greeted everyone, after which I went straight to my laboratory and guess what! I see a new face already in my laboratory. Sincerely I almost ran away, then I simply smiled and greeted her, asked her name and where she came from. Collected her documents and read them.

It is quite interesting that she's from the University of Bamenda where I also had my Bsc in Biochemistry. I asked her a few questions, we laughed and joked then began to work. Since it was her first time, I had to make her observe and take notes, then I explained few things to her too.

Work began to come in like wild fire, we ran a lot of tests and midday was drawing close. Till one of my colleagues who is a nurse came with a sheet of paper for me to help her write an application. The same lady came and began to receive lectures on Priesthood. Which I took time to explain from Hebrews chapter 7 too.

We kept on discussing and having fun while Leonora kept herself busy on her researches and others. Finally I called her out to perform a test on a little child and I saw her hands were trembling like a dry leaf from a tree. I was amazed and screamed in fun! Told her to keep calm and just work, not to allow the patients know that she's an intern, if not they'll not allow her work on them.

AFTERNOON

Finally it was midday and I received a call from one of the leaders in church to come see her at her shop. I left the hospital since there wasn't work anymore and rushed there to find out why she called for me. I arrived there and we chatted. When we finished I took the opportunity to get to the bank and perceive my salary immediately because I had some stuff to do with cash. After those, I headed back to the hospital and continued work as normal.

When I went back to work, there were just few books and my intern and I engaged I to a biblical discussion which took us a lot of time. Finally it was 4pm, my closing time. I picked up my phone, signed out and headed home straight to change into bike clothes to look for some money to refill the fuel I used throughout last week. Hoping to have a great turnover for the next 3 hours of my sojourn in bike man (okada) vibes.

Now I was ready for work and I had to reach the road real quick because the rains were threatening to fall. I arrived the road and began, the fieatvpassenger came and as a respectable guy, I asked where she wanted me to take her t. She mentioned the place and I proposed 300frs. She said she had 500frs note and I accepted. These times there's a lot of coin scarcity but thank God I had some in my bag.

The day kept unfolding and rains came and hit me so hard😂 I finally went to a far village with a young lady who came to write her resit exams. The road was filled with fog and drizzling in the dark. I put on my fog lights and dropped her at destination. That was my last customer at 7:30pm and immediately I headed home, cleaned my bike from mud and parked it.

I got home all wet and shaky😂 God be praised I have a heater home and some tea to warm myself up since I'm not yet married. Immediately I put on the heater, the lights in my room went out. An electrical fault emerged from the blue 🤦🏾‍♂️. I tried to fix the thing too no avail, so I finally got my bath and slept in peace in the dark.
