One Word, For A Ward In the World.
Hello Beautiful POOKIES 😍, Trust y'all are doing great today? The week so far has been with several uncertainties and today wasn't an exception. Imagine touring a ward in the world. So much to ponder over and lot to wonder while wandering around. Well It's still your girl @mercigold here on @steemit.

I woke up quite on time, because for obvious reasons didn't have a good night rest. I stayed up restless all through the night, had alot on my mind that took away my peace of mind for the moment. When I was finally up, I made a quick breakfast before getting ready for today's visitation to the hospital. A close friend of mine had been indisposed for a while. My daily routine lately had been on regular check up day and night to the hospital.

On getting to the health center (hospital), I made my way through the first floor where we had the first reception, I proceeded to the second floor where we had the second reception and then to the third floor where we aswell had the third reception and also where my friend was admitted. Headed straight to the room where she had been given a bed since the day she got admitted. Majority of patients you find in here are mostly pregnant women, children or nursing mothers. If there's an exemption, then that should be in a case of emergency where there are no more vacant room just like in my friend's case.

The first thing I noticed immediately I got in was that the woman who was initially admitted on this bed some days ago just got discharged today. Seeing this bed empty was a big relieve for me. In as much as it reminds me of how drip was passed through her nose and hands at the same time, how she could only stare at you from a distance without saying a word or how she had to breathe through her mouth for days. Everything at this point was worth thanking the healer of mankind. What marvels me is how this bed got properly dressed like no one was on it before now.

Right in front of me were two nursing mothers who just gave birth a day ago. They got admitted into this ward after their delivery process for further treatments. Personally, I wondered if it was hygienic enough to have this babies also admitted with their mothers into this same ward because it's was quite crowded and this infants might be prone to germs, infection or an unhealthy atmosphere. I'm not a medical doctor, just coming from a place of curiosity. This nursing mothers had people who assisted them right here in the clinic, they also had those who came for visitation with food, clothes, gifts and other essential item needed.

At the other side of this ward,a nurse was admitting Injection to a patient who is so scared of syringe. These nurses were properly trained to tolerate so much and learnt to be patient with a patient. What in goodness sake was the drama? It took over 30min before she could receive her first injection, then summon morale for the second. Indeed everyone knows what they have phobia for especially in cases like this.

So while I checked up on my friend who was still fast asleep, I had to allow her rest properly because she's barely had her eyes closed for days due to unceasing pains and restlessness. Except she was given a drugs that drowsed her off. A little child was rushed in on emergency with oxygen passed through her nose. This moment the whole ward was tensed. Even those who were laying weak were wondering what's happening. The nurses and doctors in charge paid attention to detail and this was evidence in this child case to recuperate immediately. Who knew what it would have resulted to if they were lackadaisical to their duty.

It was quite late already and getting dark. My friend ought to be discharged today, so the doctor in charge came with an approximate Bill for all her medications and admission to the hospital. This bill had initially been part paid for, we asked for the hospitals preferred payment method and made the payment. She was administered some drugs to keep up with her medication and recovery process.

On our way out, I had to take a view of the third floor entrance leading to this ward. We had initially booked a ride that waited for us downstairs. I had to accompany her back home, spent some time with her until her cousin returned.

All road leads to the way home now guys, it's been a long day with so much to behold. At this point I longed for a rest. A hospital shouldn't be a place anyone desires to be at all. Thank you so much guys for engaging. See you in my next post.
