My busy day// cooking rice and stew. [27-07-2025]

Greetings my steemian friends of this amazing community, how are you doing today? I'm doing pretty well too. I wish you good health and abundant blessings in life. In life, I do different things and I like snapping pictures of my wonderful moments and activities to write my articles and also share with my amazing steemit colleagues.

I love capturing moments from my daily life, Sunday July 27 was no exception. My mission? To document the entire process of cooking my favourite Sunday meal which was rice and stew.

My process of cooking began as I went to the market to buy some food stuffs and ingredients which includes:
• Fresh fish
• Meat
• Fresh and Sachet Tomatoes
• Fresh Peppers
• Onions
• Maggi
• Seasoning spices and more.

Once I returned home, I got started on preparing my meal. I measured out four cups of rice into my big cooking pot and began cooking the rice. As I waited for the rice to cook, I started preparing the ingredients for the stew. I chopped the onions, blended the fresh tomatoes/peppers and seasoned the meat and fish.

As the rice simmered away, I turned my attention to the stew. I steamed the meat and fish, then set them aside. Next, I heated some groundnut oil in a pot and added salt, onions, blended tomatoes, and pepper.

I stirred in the Maggie cubes and seasoning spices to combine properly with other ingredients and waited as the mixture transformed into a rich, savoury stew.

Finally, I added the steamed meat and fish, along with some sachet tomatoes, and mixed everything together. And I waited for five minutes for everything to mix well and done. I scooped the rice to a flat plate and dished my delicious stew on it and enjoyed the meal with my little boy.

Unfortunately, my phone that was low battery finally went off, which I couldn't capture the final part of my moment. And that's the story of how I cooked my delicious rice and stew on Sunday, July 27th, 2025. Join me next time for more culinary adventures and eventful moments.
