"DISTRIBUTING TO THE NEEDS OF THE SAINTS, GIVEN TO HOSPITALITY.
Romans 12:13 (NKJV)

Believers are admonished in our text to be distributing to the needs of the saints, given to hospitality (Romans 12:13).

The essence of being blessed beyond what you are needed is to be able to bless others. It is abnormal to hoard in God's Kingdom. Hoarding is a byproduct of selfishness and greediness. When someone begins to think about the self and the self alone.

When you are being blessed you would have to learn how to shed weight. Not about physical weight shedding really, though that also is good, but shedding of the weight of material things. When you have anything more than what you alone needed to use, the wisdom demands that you give the excess to other people and not to hoard it (1 Timothy 6:17-19).

A parable of Jesus Christ corroborated this; a man who's land yielded bountifully and thought of pulling down his barns and build bigger ones and said in his heart, rest my soul you have abundance to eat and enjoy (Luke 12:16-21). The man was told by God that his soul would be required of him that same night. In other words, he would die—kick the bucket.

Thus, one of the major defects which a believer needed to deal with in his or her life is self-centeredness or selfishness. This negative trait is found in every human being, either black or white or whichever race. This trait is part of human nature, part of the fleshly attributes.

What you have in excess should be given out to others. This injuction is reiterated on the the pages of the Scriptures both in the old testament and the new:
17 COMMAND THOSE WHO ARE RICH IN THIS PRESENT AGE NOT TO BE HAUGHTY, NOR TO TRUST IN UNCERTAIN RICHES BUT IN THE LIVING GOD, WHO GIVES US RICHLY ALL THINGS TO ENJOY. 18 LET THEM DO GOOD, THAT THEY BE RICH IN GOOD WORKS, READY TO GIVE, WILLING TO SHARE, 19 STORING UP FOR THEMSELVES A GOOD FOUNDATION FOR THE TIME TO COME, THAT THEY MAY LAY HOLD ON ETERNAL LIFE" (1 Timothy 6:17-19 NKJV).
According to the above passage of the Bible, believers' storing should actually be in heaven. In other words, when you give to others or God's work or His Kingdom on the earth, you are actually storing for yourself in heaven. Although, there is a reward for doing that whilst you are still on earth (Luke 6:38), but the ultimate and maximum reward of whatever you give would be in heaven:
19 “DO NOT LAY UP FOR YOURSELVES TREASURES ON EARTH, WHERE MOTH AND RUST DESTROY AND WHERE THIEVES BREAK IN AND STEAL; 20 BUT LAY UP FOR YOURSELVES TREASURES IN HEAVEN, WHERE NEITHER MOTH NOR RUST DESTROYS AND WHERE THIEVES DO NOT BREAK IN AND STEAL. 21 FOR WHERE YOUR TREASURE IS, THERE YOUR HEART WILL BE ALSO" (Matthew 6:19-21 NKJV).

Thus, when you are distributing to the needs of the saints, given to hospitality; you as a result would be endeared to the heart of God—caused to be loved or admired by God. Known that, God has a soft spot for the poor, the needy, thus, He said and commanded severally in the Scripture that the poor and the needy should not be maltreated (Exodus 22:25; 23:3,6,11; Leviticus 23:22).

He also talks about how to treat strangers: "DO NOT FORGET TO ENTERTAIN STRANGERS, FOR BY SO DOING SOME HAVE UNWITTINGLY [unknowingly] ENTERTAINED ANGELS" (Hebrews 13:2 NKJV).
The Israelites were once strangers in Egypt, as a result of this they should always be considerate to the strangers (Exodus 22:21; 23:9; Deuteronomy 10:18,19).

Whatever you did for the poor, the needy, and the strangers is taking personally by God:
35 FOR I WAS HUNGRY AND YOU GAVE ME FOOD; I WAS THIRSTY AND YOU GAVE ME DRINK; I WAS A STRANGER AND YOU TOOK ME IN; 36 I WAS NAKED AND YOU CLOTHED ME; I WAS SICK AND YOU VISITED ME; I WAS IN PRISON AND YOU CAME TO ME' " (Matthew 25:35,36 NKJV).

Thus, believers are admonished to: distribute to the needs of the saints, and be given to hospitality (Romans 13:13).

9 AND LET US NOT GROW WEARY WHILE DOING GOOD, FOR IN DUE SEASON WE SHALL REAP IF WE DO NOT LOSE HEART.
10 THEREFORE, AS WE HAVE OPPORTUNITY, LET US DO GOOD TO ALL, ESPECIALLY TO THOSE WHO ARE OF THE HOUSEHOLD OF FAITH."
Galatians 6:9,10 (NKJV)
Go and start doing that. Peace.
