Racked is just used for a game called fichado, where you have 15 pieces from 1 to 15, they are put in a container and you randomly pick one, that is the ball you win with. We have some carom tables, not where I live, few people play that. Of course after all the TV championships and people coming from the US and Europe some guys will play 8 ball, but it is not common. As for how we play, I have seen guys pot from 1 to 15, I actually see no sense in that, with just eleven balls you already won, the balls add up to 120 so anything over 60 is a win.
