Hello, hope you all are doing well .The sporting moment I wish I could change would be from the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 semi final between Pakistan and Australia, played on 11 November 2021 in Dubai. Pakistan had been unbeaten in the tournament, and the entire nation was dreaming of reaching the final. Batting first, our team posted an impressive 176/4, with Fakhar Zaman’s brilliant innings giving us a strong total to defend. With our world class bowling attack, fans believed victory was within our grasp.

For most of the chase, Pakistan kept the pressure on Australia. Then came the 19th over the moment that still breaks millions of hearts. Australia needed 20 runs from 10 balls. Shaheen Afridi bowled a beautiful inswinger to Matthew Wade. The shot went high towards deep mid wicket, and Hasan Ali ran in to take what looked like a match turning catch. The stadium held its breath… but the ball slipped through his hands. That dropped catch changed everything.

From that point, Wade’s confidence soared. On the very next three deliveries, he smashed Shaheen Afridi for three massive sixes, ending the match right there. The Pakistani players looked devastated, and fans in the stadium and across the country went silent. Many were in tears, unable to believe how quickly the match had slipped away.

I truly believe if Hasan Ali had held onto that catch, Pakistan would have had a huge chance at least 90% to win the match, reach the final, and possibly lift the World Cup trophy. That single mistake not only cost us the match but also crushed the hopes of millions of fans. Even today, whenever I remember that night, I wish I could go back in time, change that moment, and let Pakistan’s dream run continue to the very end.
