Oh wow, OK. I think I get it now. There are 2 separate leagues that are played each season - each independent from one another - one local - one national. It reads like the State Championship is like a pre-season tournament for the real deal.
Yeah, that's basically it! The Brasileirão has been getting better and better for the past few years, and it is one of the most competitive leagues in regards to a lot of different teams having real winning chances for the title each edition. In my opinion, it's probably the most thrilling league to watch in this aspect, along with the Premier League. I'll never forget that unique season that happened in 2016, when Leicester City shocked the world...
What about you, do you support any football club?
My fondest moment in a Premier League season was this, in 2012:
No other league can produce this kind of drama on the final day. Half the pub watching (and supporting) Man Utd. The other half City. Incredible.
I support Reading FC. I've written quite a lot about football in the past and I've archived most of them in this post. You might enjoy reading a few of them (you'll need to scroll down for the football).
Yeah, this end of the season was dramatically unforgettable. I'm fond of United because it was the first team I became an idol on the Player Career Mode playing on my first FIFA for the PS3, the FIFA11... Good old times. I'll read about Reading FC through your words for sure, thanks!
