You have now converted the trimmer machine from AC to DC and it is now safe and will charge via five volts and will run from the specified DC output. I did the same thing to a trimmer machine a year ago. But I installed a three-point charging circuit directly and installed a mobile battery for more backup. Because the previous battery only lasted for about 20 minutes after charging for six hours, which was not enough for shaving.
