Already missing home

in #home14 hours ago

The first few days after returning back from Mumbai are always very painful. It takes a couple of days for me to get adjusted again in the routines of Muscat life. While physically I am here in Muscat but mentally I am still connected back home to Mumbai. I am so much missing my home and all the nature around me. My morning and evening walks to the hills, the rains, my people. I still do not feel like I have returned back. I am feeling like I am still there only.

This environment is something which I miss the most.

As much as I love being in Mumbai, I will not say that it's bad here. Life is good here as well, but it's just the home connection that makes me feel home sick.

Every morning and evening going up for walk here is the best part of my daily routine.

All around there is serenity, no chaos, no disturbances, it's just me and these views

I will be going back home now by end of October, till then I will keep soaking up myself in these pictures whenever I miss it.

Life has to go on, and for me since the past 10 years it's been shuffling between the 2 countries. I am kind of enjoying it also, because it breaks me from any monotony and routines. It's like a little bit of 2 different worlds.

@nainaztengra, what a beautiful and relatable post! I completely understand that feeling of longing for home after being away. Your words paint such a vivid picture of your connection to Mumbai - I can almost smell the rain and feel the energy of your walks. The contrast you draw with the serenity of Muscat, captured so wonderfully in your photos, really highlights the push and pull of living between two worlds. It's fascinating how you've managed to find the joy in that duality, avoiding monotony by embracing the best of both places! Thank you for sharing these personal reflections and gorgeous views. I'm sure many others can relate to this feeling of homesickness. What are some of your favorite ways to cope with it while in Muscat? Looking forward to more of your journey!
