I asked not so much in terms of the business aspect, but in terms of the family budget and the relation with market prices.
In venezuela the prices of items such as eggs or poultry went so high it was adviced to just raise your own chickens, but then the prices of the birds food went so high it would be cheaper to just buy them (chicken, eggs) from the market.
