RE: Blackberries, Plums, Deer hunting, Cabin dreaming

It is a peaceful spot. Our Sukkot was pretty good. We did have a good time and the weather was awesome. However, there were 7 families there, all friends. 6 of us get together fairly regularly, but due to one man, who was a bit full of himself, my family and two others were not welcomed around the other 4 families. It was awkward and a bit heart breaking for my wife and I.

Sorry man...I bet that sucked! It is too bad, even though not everyone will agree about everything we are still commanded to come together and have a joyous feast. Too bad it turned out the way it did!

It really was a shame it played out the way it did. This one guy wants control. He uses the excuse that he and his family have been hurt before, and now he has to approve of everything and everyone or he is out. I have met with him several times for many hours each time, and he still will not "allow" his wife and son to be introduced to our group. Sadly, his youngest is 17, goes to public school and is joining the military with his fathers blessing, but we are scary to be around. These friends were 100 yards away from us for 8 days, and we didn't spend any real time with them...about 5 hours total, plus an afternoon fishing. Sometimes they would barely wave to us, and normally we drive nearly an hour each way, sometimes multiple times a week, just to hang out.

Sorry man....that is just a sad thing to hear!
