RE: Homestead Kitchen Reno: The Reveal

in #homesteading7 years ago

Thank you so much! I know what you mean about storage. This house has very little of it. Its so hard to be organized and tidy when things don't have a permanent home. I am forever packing things up in plastic totes and putting them in the shed - then pulling them out again. I've got to pull the summer coats out today and pack away all the parkas! Yipee for that though. I guess on the up side, it encourages me to to get rid of and not bring home unnecessary objects.

Over time it all comes together. Enjoy your spring sorting!

I’ve absolutely loved following the process of these handcrafted cabinets coming together. Watching every detail—from mortise and tenon joints to the hand-carved doors and knobs—gave me a deep appreciation for old-school craftsmanship. Even small touches, like coffee-darkened screws and pull-out trays for heavy cast iron pots, show the care involved. I also like keeping our kitchen organized, so I added a directional sign on the website to help label different zones, making it practical as well as beautiful. Working with such talented artisans really transformed our kitchen into a functional, personal, and stunning space.
