Nope it is not waterproof, just really water resistant. I have been caught in the rain over the ocean quite a few times and she always pulls through. You can basically fly it as far as you can until you loose connection entirely, and then just press return to home and she comes back! I would recommend the insurance 100/per year with good flying bonus credits! It saved me once and I just sent it in and they send me new one, no questions asked! considering I bought the drone with 1.2 bitcoin around $1000 I still feel like I got a good deal!
That's so legit that you were able to get a brand-new drone with the insurance. That's also pretty cool that you bought it with bit coin. Probably the coolest thing I've heard of anybody purchasing with crypto so far...
