Horror Club: Mutiny
10 minutes of oxygen remaining.
As Brian looked out into the vastness of space he couldn't help but marvel at it's beauty. An array of the stars in the milky way and far off galaxies that man may never reach. There was a stunning contrast between the shining stars in the distance and the utter darkness that surrounded him. It had only been 35 minutes since he had been ejected from the shuttle, but the vast beauty was enough to quickly calm his nerves as he waited for the inevitable. He didn't want to die, but this was quite possibly the best way he could possibly go.
5 minutes of oxygen remaining.
Brian didn't want to die. He could still see the glimmer of the shuttle that left him behind speeding towards mars. The bastards didn't have to do this to him. They could have locked him in his quarters if they though he was that much of a threat. To leave him here to die was inhumane! They knew full well what would happen by leaving him here. The vastness in space, coupled with his cruel treatment, began to feel empty. For all it's beauty, space was unfathomably lonely.

If only this damn suit would shut up! Clearly by this point there's nothing Brian could do to save himself. Unless he was already on a ship at this point there's nothing he could do to save himself within a minute. The rest of his short life would be pain and anguish and this damn computer was only making it worse.

There was nothing left for Brian to do. He didn't want to die. He wanted to prolong the process for as long as he could, but as soon as he tried to hold his breath the panic caused him to hyperventilate. The dizziness came first as his blood began loosing oxygen. Vomit spilled into his helmet floating into his face and hair. He was just conscious enough to register the humiliation of it. No one would find him, but that didn't help the matter. He was still conscious as his body started to spasm. He could smell death approaching and it was not pleasant. After what felt like an eternity of fear and pain he finally lost consciousness. Death soon followed. His body floating in nothingness, soon to be forgotten.
Very Good Description of Death by asphyxiation.
It’s not my bag of tea though. I prefer positive thoughts but they don’t have the same attraction as stories about death.
