The perpetrators used the find my iPhone application and showed the location of the device at the victim's house. The homeowner began to be suspicious and refused to have his house searched without an official letter.

The location of the incident was not mentioned. However, the account owner displayed a photo from CCTV when the perpetrators first came to us and met the account owner's aunt. He also explained that his aunt did not understand technology and was confused when dealing with the perpetrators.

Hati-hati dengan Modus Penipuan Baru, Berpura-pura HP Hilang dan Minta Geledah Rumah Calon Korban

Perkembangan teknologi sering digunakan orang untuk menipu. Salah satu modus baru yang digunakan adalah dengan berpura-pura kehilangan handphone dan lokasinya ada di rumah calon korban.

Pelaku datang dengan menunjukkan titik lokasi handphone hilang di sebuah rumah. Bahkan pelaku datang berlima, termasuk satu orang yang menggunakan seragam polisi. Calon korban tidak tahu polisi itu gadungan atau bukan.

Para pelaku mengeluarkan nada ancaman agar rumah digeledah atau diberikan ganti rugi. Pelaku menggunakan aplikasi find my Iphone dan menunjukkan titik lokasi perangkatnya ada di rumah calon korban. Pemilik rumah mulai curiga dan menolak rumahnya digeledah tanpa surat resmi.

Di sinilah pemilik rumah mulai curiga. Kemudian pemilik rumah menyarankan login lokasi dan nomor telepon yang disebutkan hilang, ditelepon. Kemudian, satu orang ikut pemilik rumah untuk menelusuri ruangan.

Namun, pelaku tidak mau sehingga pemilik rumah bertambah curiga. Ketika diajarin cara menggunakan aplikasi yang benar, pelaku mengatakan akan melaporkan ke polisi. Pemilik rumah menunggu dan pelaku tidak pernah kembali.

Kejadian tersebut viral di akun Tiktok @gtid.news. Sampai Selasa 29 April 2025 pukul 8.30 WIB, sudah mendapatkan 779,3 ribu tanda suka dan 6.973 komentar serta dibagi 135,3 ribu kali. Ada warga net yang mencurigai mereka satu komplotan, termasuk orang yang memakai baju polisi.

Tidak disebutkan lokasi kejadian. Namun, pemilik akun menampilkan foto dari CCTV ketika pelaku datang pertama kami dan bertemu dengan tante pemilik akun. Dia juga menjelaskan tantenya tidak paham teknologi dan bingung ketika berhadapan dengan pelaku.

“Itu komplotannya mereka, polisi gadungan. Jadi biar seolah-olah yang punya rumah nggak curiga,” komentar seorang warga net.

“Modusnya modus baru diciptakan. Masih trial and error. Errornya kalau ketemu orang yang nggak gaptek,” tambah netizen lainnya.

Pemilik akun mengingatkan warga net agar berhati-hati dengan modus seperti itu, apalagi jika rumah sedang kosong dan orang yang ada di rumah tidak paham tentang teknologi.[]
