For you to become successful in life, you must face difficulties and challenges and even successfully build society to are must have encountered difficulties before getting to where they are today.
I must say that my area and the people living there are living in bandages, it's just like hell on earth because that area isn't good at all due to lack of development.

What is the biggest problem people are currently facing in your area?

Honestly speaking, the people in my area are really facing challenges and difficult moments, but I must say that in every situation we find ourselves, we ought to give thanks to God.
This place feels like hell on earth, and I am exhausted in this place because of lack of development and unemployment amongst the youth living there, this is the major problem that we are facing and it has result to other bad things.
Bad network coverage, poor electricity supplying, and water scarcity.

Bad network coverage: This is the major problem that we have been facing in my area, the network coverage is very poor to an extent that you can't even make good phone calls or even text messages.
It's very frustrating because in this era of development, we are all relying on social media in order to do many things and also stay connected with things happening around the world.
This is very challenging for me because, as steeminans, we need a good network supply to always stay active.

Poor electricity and water scarcity: We are definitely in a digital world where we need electricity to our mobile phones and also perform many duties, especially in companies and industries.
This is not the case here, in my area we get electricity sometimes once in a week which is very bad and it makes our phone to shutdown easily, this is one of the challenges we are currently facing and we hope that it gets better soon.

Water they say is life and we need water to do almost everything in this life, infact it's impossible for us to live without water.
For you to fetch water, you will need to be in a queue just to get a gallon, which is so pathetic.

Is there someone in your community who is making a positive difference?

Yes, but sadly, that person is no more because good people don't last in my country Nigeria once you are doing the right thing they will try by all means to make sure that you don't last there.
Our commanding officer in our barracks was a very good and gentle man a man with the heart of gold, someone sent by God his presence in our area really changed a lot of things in a positive way and we will never forget him because of his good deeds.

Has your neighbourhood recently experienced any development or improvement?

Yes, the presence of that man really changed our community in a positive way. His time there really brought development in the aspects of electricity supply and providing enough water for all the citizens.
We can now boast of a guarantee 5 hours electricity supply every day and also he built enough tap and boreholes that we now easily get water.

He also went ahead and created job opportunities for we the youths in the barracks. He created an initiative program for skill acquisition, and everyone was very happy and useful to themselves.
He has brought a positive change to our barracks, and everyone was very sad when he left but any one who comes in will try to do something before being transferred an we will always be greatfull to him.

What steps are people taking to solve local problems?

It's very different in my country due to the rate of corruption and bribery happenings it is very difficult to handle.
We are trying our possible best to make sure that we abide by the rules and regulations in the community and also try to work together with the government.
By solving local problem we need to help ourselves and be very useful in aspects of contributing, because most time the government abandoned local problems for the citizens to handle which is very bad, this can only happen in Nigeria.

This story is very important for steemians to know especially those who are living abroad, many people will see Nigeria as s very great country not knowing that the citizens are really suffering day by day 😢 and no drastic measures are being taken.
The politicians are the ones enjoying the country, stealing money and other valuable items, and all their families are living abroad due to the hardship.

Imagine a country known as the giant of Africa 🌍 suffering malice from the government, in some communities they don't even have good road which is very hard for development to come into there, poverty and unemployment is the major problem in most locality in Nigeria, so once you read this you will understand that Nigeria is more than what you see.
Our country is full of wicked and selfish people who care only for themselves.
