Coffee shops are a multi-purpose space in the region known as the Serambi Mekkah. From colonial times to the modern era, coffee shops have often served as gathering places to resolve various issues, from work issues to political ones, from simple to complex. It's no wonder Aceh is known as the "thousand coffee shops" region. Coffee shops, from simple to modern, are readily available in every corner of Aceh. However, amidst the proliferation of aesthetic, Instagrammable, and trendy cafes, simple coffee shops continue to thrive and attract a large customer base.

One relatively simple coffee shop in my area is Warung Lom Kupi. As a coffee lover, I naturally stop by almost every day before carrying out my various duties and responsibilities. I've made Warung Lom Kupi, located in the Meunasah Mosque area, my go-to place for a cup of black coffee. Warung Lom Kupi is a relatively simple and ordinary coffee shop, just like any other. But don't ask if it concerns customers. The coffee shop located on Jalan Tgk Wahab Dahlawi, Simpang Buloh, Muara Dua District, Cunda is quite busy with visitors both morning, afternoon and evening. Customers also come from various groups, including the general public, entrepreneurs, civil servants and students.

Warung Lom Kupi consists of two shophouses combined, with the majority of customers being adults. Only a small percentage of young people visit this coffee shop. The prices for various types of drinks at Lom Kupi are fairly standard, comparable to most other places. Warung Lom Kupi opens at 6:00 AM Western Indonesian Time and closes at 11:59 PM WIB. The coffee bar is located in the back, and is well-staffed and always busy. Customers don't have to wait long to order their favorite beverage. The main beverage at Lom Kupi is, of course, black coffee, but many other beverages are also available. Lom Kupi also offers coffee sanger, espresso, iced tea, and various other beverages.

Prices are also quite affordable: black coffee pancung is IDR 5,000 (2.29 Steem), coffee sanger is IDR 6,000 (equivalent to 2.75), and iced tea is IDR 5,000 (equivalent to 2.29 Steem). Besides drinks, Lom Kupi also serves a variety of cakes. For main meals, the famously delicious Acehnese noodles are available, priced between IDR 10,000 and IDR 20,000, or the equivalent of 4.6 to 5.6 Steam. Perhaps a slightly inconvenient aspect is the rather cramped parking space, as the coffee shop is located on a busy road. The motorcycle parking area is neatly arranged, making it convenient for visitors. However, those driving will have to find a parking spot a little further away. I encountered a problem parking my car because I had to walk quite a distance.
