Introducing Steem Atlas at the Hot News Community Meet-Up in Matang Kuli
Exactly a week ago, on July 27, 2025, the second Hot News Community Meetup of the year was held. Recruiting newcomers, re-engaging dormant members, and introducing Steem Atlas were the main agenda items.
No cost! Yes, no cost. Steemit has helped us grow so well. Therefore, this is a way for us, the Hot News Community Team, to make a small, hopefully beneficial, impact in introducing Steemit.
There will be no pre-event fundraising events, as we feel we can manage them well. All costs are fully covered by @radjasalman, unless the event has a much larger agenda and number of participants.
I participated in the Hot News Community Meetup at the event, focusing on my experiences with Steem Atlas. While not an Atlas Ambassador, introducing Steem Atlas to newcomers is a way to expand community content and reach more users through Steem Atlas.
The Hot News Community Meet Up event was held at D'Coffee Shop Specialty, see the location review in the following Steem Atlas post: D'Coffee Shop Spesiality, Bagian Dari Pertashop Matangkuli.
📝Broadly speaking, this event is divided into four sessions.
- ☑️ Recruiting new users and helping them create Steemit accounts on the spot. A total of 15 participants were successfully registered as newcomers.
- ☑️ Reactivating a dormant account, namely an account that has been inactive for a long time.
- ☑️ Introduction of Steem Atlas, as part of the spirit of expanding the reach of the Steemit community and promoting local content.
- ☑️ Upvote witness and its benefits.

Specifically for Steem Atlas, we gave newcomers time to familiarize themselves by creating simple posts, such as The Diary Game, participating in contests, and other light-hearted posts. This way, they could gradually learn how to create posts for Steem Atlas, making them easier to understand and execute effectively in the future.
Overall, the event went very well and smoothly. The majority of new users who joined were from the Scout Movement in the Lhoksukon area. Their numerous outdoor activities made them highly suitable for publication on Steem Atlas.
With a cost of IDR 1,550,000, or approximately 734.8 Steem, which covered venue rental, catering, and other expenses, the Hot News Community Meetup was a success.
Soon, I will share a tutorial on writing posts for Steem Atlas, which will be shared through the WhatsApp group we previously formed. |

This concludes the post about the Hot News Community Meetup. Best regards to you all. Please ask the @pennsif for my permission. To continue to be able to teach the Steem Atlas to many users.
Great event. Congratulations.
