Dear Steemians, Warm regards to you all.
Yesterday was another day to talk about, especially my afternoon encounter with a child in my school asking me about how God came to existence. Carefully read my response to her and give your own candid answer to such an age-long question without a leading answer.

MY MORNING ACTIVITIES

By 5:45 am, our traditional family devotion was done, using the Presbyterian family altar, which I believed @etette, @mayjay and @annydee01 might have used it too. Immediately after the prayers, I bathed my son while my wife prepared food for him to go to school with. My boy just started school at 2 years of age this week. He cried when I put him on the school bus, calling me “Daddy!! Daddy!!” For me, he must go to school with no emotions attached to his tears. I watched him leave with other children. I moved to the other side of the school and started teaching the children computer studies. Teaching children means you must learn how to compose songs from what you want them to learn. This was my style in the class.

A SERIOUS AFTERNOON

After the break at 11:30 am and a few lessons from other classes, I was in my office when a child in Primary 4 (she should be about 6 to 7 years old) came in and asked me, “Sir, who created God?” I looked straight into her eyes and asked her of her faith; she said, “Christianity.” I breathed in slowly with serious calculations in my head for the best answer, as I couldn't figure out where the question came from.

This was my answer: “God is the Creator of the creations who is self-existent; He is the Uncaused Cause, the Immovable and Incomprehensible. God is not limited in time and space; He is transcendent and at the same time immanent God.”

This question has been asked for ages without a satisfactory explanation. Whether we believe that God exists or not, since we exist, then Descartes will explain in his term “cogito ergo sum – I think, therefore I am”.
If I am a being, then there's a Greater Being who created me, the lesser being." In this way, I feel we can settle this ontological argument by thinking deeply through who we are and how we suddenly grew from toddlers to adults. The lesson was made to understand that the subject of God belongs to faith alone, because if you want to understand God without faith, you will ask questions that have no clear answer.
The little girl asked if we must pray before God does anything for us. At this point, I felt something serious about her, considering her age. I told her, “Whether we pray or not, God is still God”; our prayers do not bend or change him. But it helps us to be connected and have intimacy with Him. Prayer will make us touch the big part of God rather than settle for things that are common.
I told her to read 1 Thessalonians 5:17 and Luke 18:1. Therefore prayer is a means of communication with God. When we communicate with someone, we have knowledge or get something from them; it's the same with God. Although God will still do it, just keep communicating with Him.

Another serious experience in the afternoon was the flooded Ewet Housing Estate. It was raining, and at the same time, I needed to, so I pulled off my shoes while others watched me go. When you work with time and schedules, you can't give in to delays.

EVENING

When I came back home under the rain, I was already tired and experienced cold and catarrh. So I covered myself and slept. I woke up at about 6:47 and began to work on a graphic design for someone who asked for it for her birthday. Later I listened to the news until it was time for Arsenal and others playing in the Carabao Cup and Europa League. I then was thinking of updating my Steemit blog before I slept after dinner.

SUMMARY OF THE DAY

It was a serious day, from home to school. A little girl asked me who created it, and I gave my simple response. The flooded Ewet Housing Estate could not stop or distort my schedules for the remaining part of the day.

LESSONS OF THE DAY

As a teacher you must be ready to answer all questions without fear. Only faith can explain God – just believe and have peace. Our prayers help us, not God.

What is your opinion about the existence of God and prayer?

Share and let us learn.
