Yesterday's heavy rain caused evaporation of water in the river in Babah Krueng village at the Krueng Tuan irrigation dam in North Aceh, Indonesia. Due to the high rainfall, even though it lasted only a short time, it resulted in extraordinary evaporation. Heavy rain, although brief, occurred in several areas upstream.

The evaporation rate in several rivers has increased, and in some small irrigation systems, the floodgates cannot be closed, causing some rice fields to be inundated with water and mud. I have displayed several images I took of several areas today, all of which appear to be filled with water like islands.

This extremely heavy rain has caused flooding in rice fields. This is a natural disaster experienced by farmers, and they can only endure it with patience and start from scratch. Some low-lying areas in the rice fields have been completely inundated, and some plots have damaged farmers' rice crops.

I also took a photo of a small shop on the edge of the rice field road that was almost flooded by the evaporated flood water from the road. This often happens when heavy rain falls too high, the irrigation here is not able to accommodate the rainwater so that water evaporation occurs like this.

This section shows water evaporating from the road and seeping into the rice fields. Several of the rice field barriers (ateung blang) have collapsed due to erosion by the relentless influx of water. From a distance, the rice fields look like a vast lake.

After several phenomena that occurred and were seen in the rice fields, now I went to the part of the dam at the end of the village to see the increase in rainwater that occurred, this is what happens when water evaporates in an irrigation dam (Krueng Tuan), the very strong water makes various logs have been washed away from the upstream of the river.

Several banana trees have been submerged in water, leaving only their tops visible. The river appears larger and wider due to the tremendous evaporation, even with only temporary rainfall.

This is all I can tell you about the evaporation that occurred on August 7, 2025. I hope the water recedes quickly so the farmers can resume their work. That's all from me, and thank you.
