GBK Nursery

Today I am going to discuss with you about GBK(Gram Bikash Kendra) Nursery. This nursery is located 2 kilometers away from my house. The exact location of the nursery is that it is located next to the Habra Highway and on the east side there is a large field which we usually know as Golabari Field.

This nursery is basically a nursery of a Bangladesh organization but it has been generally governmentized. A few days ago, government seedlings were distributed to the general public from this nursery. Most of the seedlings produced in this nursery are through tissue culture. I had mentioned this nursery in a post earlier. Various parts of this nursery have been newly added, the help desk.

That is, you can gain a lot of good knowledge about the seedlings you will buy and if you want, you can buy it after reading about it. As soon as you enter the nursery, you will find a help desk. Where three people are there to help you with various things. This place has different plant tops, flower pots and other materials that are needed for nursery.

There are a total of 15 to 20 people working in this nursery. It is not just a nursery, but various types of organic fertilizers are produced here. Especially, earthworm fertilizer is supplied to different regions of Bangladesh, the main ingredients of which are made in this factory. In this nursery, not only normal trees but also bonsai trees are made here. Various fruit and flower trees are made bonsai here. For example, because the rosewood is very popular, this tree is made in the form of bonsai. GBK Agro Farm has many branches in Bangladesh.

So they can sell their seedlings everywhere in Bangladesh. Some of the modern seedlings made through their tissue culture are: G9 banana, betel nut,papaya and many other fruits. They have also brought seedlings of foreign trees to Bangladesh, which are Pakistani pain fruit, Indonesian coconut, Thai mango and Japanese Miyazaki Ama tree. Here, the price of the lowest fruit tree starts from 150 taka and the price of the highest coconut tree is up to 1000 taka.

Similarly, there are many varieties of flower trees. Here, many flower trees are available for planting in front of the house, which are relatively expensive. Moreover, roses, marigolds, Spanish Cherry flowers, and leafy trees are available at very low prices. If you want, you can grow many types of roses on one tree here through C14.

Overall, they have gained a good reputation in the area for their improved seedlings. They are cultivating various vegetables in many places and marketing them, which is creating employment for more people. Overall, this is a modern nursery in our area that is working with a good reputation.
