Parbatipur Railway Station is located in Dinajpur district of northern Bangladesh. It is located in Parbatipur Main town. It is an integral part of our North Bengal railway system. This station is a historical monument. Established during the British period, this station is one of the oldest and largest railway junctions in Bangladesh.

Its structure is very beautiful and strong. It is more crowded here than other stations in Bangladesh. Just looking at its size and busyness, you can understand how important it is in the country's rail transport. The railway communication system operates from Parbatipur 24 hours a day.
Four main railway lines have been extended from Parbatipur station in different directions. Therefore, trains run 24 hours a day on 4 lines from this place. Out of these, one line has gone towards Rangpur, one towards Santahar, one towards Dinajpur-Panchagarh and the other towards Burimari. Work is underway on another line which will further develop Parbatipur.Due to this multi-faceted connection, Parbatipur has created a communication system with the rest of the country in the North Bengal region.

Every day, unknown trains run through this station. Many freight trains and oil trains travel through it. The oil that comes to Parbatipur station meets 100% of our North Bengal oil needs. Apart from this, mangoes, jackfruit and litchi are sent to different parts of the country from this station.

There is also a large railway workshop adjacent to the Parbatipur Railway Junction, centered around the station. It is also the second largest station in Bangladesh. Where train engines and bogies are repaired and maintained. There are two factories here for this. It provides an important facility in the maintenance of the country's railway infrastructure and has created employment opportunities for many people.
But those who work at the station once get jobs here from their families later. Parbatipur station has changed a lot over time, but it has not been modernized. There are still tin canopies between the platforms. Many people are still involved in ticket smuggling here. Thousands of passengers travel using this station every day. The station also plays an important role for students. In the morning, one can travel to school in Kholahati and to Rangpur Begum Rokeya University and Dinajpur Government College. Another big advantage is that one can travel all over the country from our station.
