Upazila Livestock Department and Veterinary Hospital are located in the heart of Phulbari Upazila. Opposite Phulbari Upazila Hospital is Phulbari Livestock Department Veterinary Hospital. It is located on the south side of Phulbari and Dinajpur Road. This hospital has been built by determining a suitable place for the convenience of animals. There are many facilities available here, which I am mentioning below.

First of all, when you go to the office, you will see the main building on the left. As soon as you enter this building, you will see a signboard. This signboard has the government fees for various diseases written on it. It also mentions what medicines are available here. Also, a list of all the non-vegetarian foods for cattle is given here.The hospital recommends giving these foods to cows to provide them with adequate nutrition.

The duty officer is always working in the main building. If any complex disease of cattle occurs, they help and also he trains the officers here. Most of the time he gives an idea about the practical diseases to the students of the medical college. Also, there are separate rooms for different diseases in the main building. There are separate consultation rooms for different diseases of cows or goats and one can go there and get advice and medicine accordingly.

Representatives of various pharmaceutical companies can be seen in the hospital every day. They constantly conduct tests of various medicines in this hospital. They also provide some medicines for cattle here for free. Also, there is an old building here to keep an animal under supervision from where a cow is observed for 24 hours or 48 hours, through which it is easy to identify diseases. All the equipment of modern veterinary medicine is here and through them the cattle are treated here.

There is a place here for caesarean section of cattle. There are basically two stands here and they are kept standing through these stands. This is one of the modern medical systems and there are surgeons here who perform caesarean sections of various animals. Especially Friesian cows are aborted here. It is very difficult to give birth to a baby in a large cow house, due to which people from nearby areas bring the cows to the hospital.

Because like a human hospital, this hospital does not need to be open all the time but is open if any individual problem arises.
