The Diary Game: 03.07.2025 | Knee Injury Checkup: Doctor's Visit, First X-ray Diagnosis & Treatment Update

Earlier today, my father arranged an appointment with an orthopedic doctor at Sreemon Medilab for my knee injury. I had hurt my left knee while playing badminton a few days ago. Although several days had passed, the pain persisted and I still couldn’t fully bend my knee. When my father asked if he should fix the appointment, I agreed. He then contacted Sreemon Medilab and managed to get me a spot, though it was quite far down the list, at serial number 20.

In the evening, while waiting for my turn, I stayed at home and passed the time playing Clash of Clans. The doctor started seeing patients from 5 PM, but since I had serial number 20, I didn’t leave for the clinic until around 9:30 PM. Despite being among the last patients, I took the opportunity to collect useful information about the clinic and its doctors, which I’m sharing in this post in case it helps someone in the future. I couldn’t take many pictures due to my injury, but I hope to write a dedicated post about this clinic later for the Steem Atlas project.

Once I arrived at the chamber, I had to wait a few more minutes before entering the doctor’s room. I explained the issue I was facing about my ongoing knee pain and difficulty bending.

The doctor advised an X-ray before making any conclusions. Luckily, the clinic had an X-ray machine, so I did not have to go anywhere else. The procedure was quick, and I received the report in about 30 minutes.

My X-ray report

Upon reviewing the X-ray, the doctor confirmed that there was no bone damage. However, he suspected a vein injury around the knee area, possibly internal bleeding that caused swelling and discomfort.

He also said if I agreed, he could treat it immediately by removing the blood clot and administering an injection to ease the condition. After discussing with my father, I agreed to the treatment since delaying could worsen the situation and might require surgery later.

The doctor used a syringe to remove the clot and injected medicine directly into the vein. He advised me to take 14 days of rest, reduce movement, avoid certain foods, and follow a medication routine. After buying the prescribed medicines, we went to a nearby restaurant for dinner before heading home in a motor van.
