The April contest #2 by the sduttaskitchen|Child marriages!
Pushing a child to early marriage is an unjustifiable act from parents and it is another way of stealing a child's right, dreams, present and future.
I will be using the contest tips as guidelines;
Question 1: Do you support early-age marriages? Share your opinion
Marriage is a deep commitment that requires all-round maturity from both individuals. No, I am not in support of early age marriages because of the dangers that comes with the decision. Let a child be a child and grow through the proper process of life.
What's the point of pushing a child into marriage where he or she is clueless about the important qualities required to have a successful and healthy marriage.
A union where there is zero financial stability and lack of emotional intelligence shouldn't be called marriage at all.
The harmful effects that comes with this act are beyond repairs and it can only be avoided from the start.
Question 2: Before thinking of marriage, which points should parents keep in their mind? And how we can reduce child trafficking!
Marriage is an institution that should happen when a child is fully developed and can make decisions for his/ herself. Parents should give a child proper education first. This way, the child can understand the true aim of companionship. Other points parents should keep in mind before pushing a child into early marriage are; age, consent, health and financial stability.
How to Reduce Child Trafficking
Many parents give out their children all in the name of marriage without even understanding what that means. Lack of education and poverty are the actual reason for children trafficking. It is important to educate people on this and create serious awareness to parents. Economic support can help reduce it and lastly, Government should set a strict laws for the predators in order to stop child trafficking.
Question 3: Do you believe proper education can play a significant role in avoiding such unlawful acts? What are they?
Yes, I strongly believe that proper education can play a significant role in avoiding these unlawful acts. When parents or guardians are well exposed and properly educated, they will definitely understand the dangers that comes with early marriage and child trafficking. Once they can differentiate between illegal and legal, it will help them make a good life decisions for their children.
They will also get to understand what human rights means and there will be no room for vulnerability for predators to use them.
Proper education is a key to a good life that can contribute to a better society. Both parents and children will be aware of right and wrong when educated.
I will invite some friends to participate in the contest @josepha @mvchacin and @dequeen
It is one thing for government to make laws. It is wither thing for those laws to be implemented.
There are so many laws that prohibit early marriage of children such as those made by the UN and the Child Rights Act, still this isn't enough.
So many minds have to be educated to move past the belief that this act of child marriage and trafficking is acceptable.
