Nowadays the month of Sawan is going on, Sawan comes with many things. The month of Sawan is a symbol of rain. Sawan does not come alone, it brings a lot of happiness and hope with it and the festivals of Hindu religion start from Sawan itself.
As soon as Sawan starts, festivals start coming one after the other. Lord Shiva is worshipped in the entire month of Sawan and Lord Shiva's name is chanted in the entire universe. Water is offered to Lord Shiva, milk, honey, curd are anointed. Rudrabhishek is done in every temple of Shiva, in homes. The whole world is engaged in pleasing Lord Shiva.
As soon as the name of Sawan swing comes, the mind fills with enthusiasm. Today Sawan swings are not seen in every house, but when I was small, swings used to be put up in homes even before Sawan came and we used to swing the entire Sawan. I have swung a lot in my childhood and this swing is my favorite swing.
Sawan is a symbol of green color, people wear green things in Sawan, be it bangles or clothes. Any kitty party, its theme is green color in Sawan.
Sawan has many strange things. So many songs have been made on Sawan, rains wet the mind, the earth scorched by heat gets relief in Sawan.

Sawan has many rituals, when girls get married, they spend the first year's Sawan in their maternal home. Earlier, girls were sent to their maternal home for one month in Sawan. But now they are sent only for four days. The mother-in-law gives her daughter-in-law a saree and makeup items in Sawan. When the mother sends her daughter off to her maternal home, she is given a green saree, bangles and mehendi.
The main dish of Sawan which is available only in Sawan is Ghevar. Even today, Ghevar comes to the girls' house from their maternal home every year, I also get it. Ghevar is also of two types, one is plain Ghevar and the other is with cream. In our house, everyone likes both types of Ghevar, we all wait for the whole year for Sawan to come.
